I woke up this morning, feeling out of control because the house needs a good cleaning, all of Canaan's baby furniture is in the living room & needs to be put into the storage shed, it's cold outside and I'm not feeling at my best, Canaan's in full blown T2's, we have company coming, have to do 1/2 the family Thanksgiving food shopping, Ryan asking if I'd washed something of his (as he's throwing all the clothes from the hamper onto the floor) and on and on and on...there's just SO much to do and not enough time to do all of it, I feel.
Before I got out of bed, I was still feeling sorry for myself and was checking my email on my phone and got a precious facebook post from a dear friend Carrie T.:
"I'm thankful for you! You always have such great ideas that make me want to clean my house or get cooking and giving me that motivation is not an easy task! I also want to tell you that you are a great encourager through facebook! It always makes me feel good when I see that you've "liked" one of my posts or pictures! I appreciate you and am proud to call you my friend! Happy Thanksgiving month! ;0)"
That put an immediate smile on my face and after caring for Canaan & walking through my constant work in progress of a house, I wrote this:
"I'm thankful for the constant messes I'm cleaning up and the never ending loads of laundry because that means I'm surrounded by my dear boys. And for my aching muscles & for how tired I am at the end of the day because it means that I've been productive."
Thank you, Carrie for giving me the motivation I need this week.
I'm off to clean with a smile on my face!
