WHAT WE'RE MAKING? WATERCOLOR MUGS DIY

I really need to curb my obsession with late night Pinterest ideas...

I saw this blog post on Poppytalk: a DIY on watercolor mugs.

I bought $0.88 mugs at Walmart. It might have been the nailpolish I used but mine didn't spread around like Poppytalk's, even with a skewer. It actually stuck to the skewer in the warm water. Maybe you'd have more luck. Not bad for $0.88+tax though! I made another for my son's teacher for Valentine's Day.

WHAT WE'RE MAKING? $3 TIERED TRAY STAND - supplies from Dollar Tree

Saw this blogpost from According to Kelly on making Tiered Trays from supplies from Dollar Tree.
Although I only needed 2 tiers for my nail polish and I spray painted it with chalk board paint so that if I want to write or if I accidentally spill some nail polish on it multiple time, it will still look fun. I already had the E6000 glue and spray paint so it only cost me $3 to make, 2 trays & one glass candlestick holder from Dollar Tree.

WHAT WE'RE MAKING? CLOTHESPIN SCARF HOLDER

I have so many scarfs that I love and enjoy that I wanted to organize them on the back of my door. I saw this Sally Ann blog post on Pinterest , during one of my late night searching parties, and realized I had everything on hand to make it.

I took a piece of wood from my old fence and broke it to the size I needed with my foot. Primitive. Took a hammer to the ends to knock off the splintered wood. Spray painted clothespins and when they were dry, I eye-balled where they should go. Used E6000 glue to adhere them to the board. Screwed in eye screws on the top and threaded framing wire.

WHAT WE'RE MAKING? INCENTIVE CRAZY STRAWS for TEACHERS

Every week I try to bless my son's teacher with something. Searching Pinterest, my late night obsession, I found this great post for teachers that is a great incentive for the younger grades. We bought crazy straws at Dollar Tree yesterday, I made Caught-You-Being-CRAZY-Good in a Word document, then put them together. Took me less than 10 minutes from start to finish to put them together and that I only spent $3 to help our favorite teacher this year...BONUS!

The Lemonade Stand has a fantastic blog post about these!
