PLEASE don't feed your family Stove Top stuffing for Thanksgiving! Make them a meal they'll never forget. Add a good dressing recipe like this one to your menu.
Make a pan of cornbread. It's done when it's not jiggly in the middle and it separates from the sides of the pan. Hard boil 6 eggs while your cornbread's cooking.
TIP: If you don't want to make it from scratch use Marie Callender's "just add water" cornbread.
I only made a 1/2 recipe today but you'll want to make a full recipe if not double for your family on Thanksgiving.
Crumble up your cornbread in a big bowl with 1 T poultry seasoning, 8-10 crumbed slices of bread and/or biscuits (I used the homemade bread from the other day), 6 diced hard boiled eggs, 1/2 t salt and 1/2 t pepper.
Now in a skillet, saute 2-3 T butter with 3/4 C grated onion. Add 4-5 C of chicken or vegetable broth.
Gently mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients.
Add to a greased baking dish.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 min or until there's no jiggle.

I believe that cornbread should be baked in a cast iron skillet.
The stuffing is always my favorite Thanksgiving dish (I have a thing with bread and cornbread!). Anyway, I make ours from scratch too and it is very similar to yours so I was really excited to see that! Can't wait until next week! ;0)
